It is important to know that your accounts are being prepared by a qualified accountant, licensed by an approved body in the UK.  Anyone can call themselves an accountant, but fewer are actually subject to external scrutiny.  A practising certificate is proof that your accountant is licensed and subject to a professional code of conduct and follows an ethical framework.
